    It would be cool if polls could be scheduled or on a timer.
    Perhaps with some kind of configurable audio notification too.

    Yeah, would be nice to configure a polling schedule and an audible alert for new messages.

    Hoe about letting the Windows Task Manager do that? The WTM is /very/ flexible...
