We do not leave very well from the places we have been. Our
departure from Afghanistan, although 20 years late, was done
quite well in comparison with our other departures, such as
our exit from Vietnam. We just do not know how to get out
of the fine messes we made. Of course, we never should have
started them in the first place, but that is for another day.

The Taliban was willing to put Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda on
trial by Shia Law in Afghanistan. Why did GWB reject their system
of justice? Because GWB wanted a war. An easy war. Not that he
had any intention of capturing ObL & Co., whom he allowed to
flee to Pakistan. GWB sent our troops there in 2001, and kept
them there throughout his entire two terms in office. And then
Barack Obama kept them there, throughout his own two terms in
office (although he did off ObL in Pakistan). And Donald Trump
also kept them there throughout his one and only term in office.

Fact of the matter is Joe Biden is the one who got us out.
Early in the first year of his first term in office. What a guy.

If you want justice, pray for peace.

What did we get in return for all the years we spent in Vietnam?

I hate to see any player get hurt, regardless of position. I was
watching Monday Night Football some years ago when Joe Theisman broke

field. Really gruesome injury. No way he could come back from that.

And last year, a Buffalo Bills player had a heart attack, on live
television. Actually two, as medics had to revive him twice. And he
returned to his team, and is playing again this year. Amazing.

Yes, football is a violent sport. And people do get hurt playing.
One player even got hurt while playing tag football during the all
star game. Kind of hard to do, but he managed to do it. Broke his
foot or something.

Surgery and rehab can take time. Even if all goes well, the player
may not be the same as before. Heath Shuler comes to mind, as he had
turf toe. Had to have surgery, and tried to come back to form, but
was never able to do so. A healthy Heath Shuler might have been able
to take the Saints to the Super Bowl, but he was never able to return
to form.

Bernie Sanders?? He enriched himself during the election process... paid his wife millions as a staffer. Where is this Democrat that hasn't have rich donors attached to them... Never mind Democrat, politician whatever flavor... MTG in the interview with Tucker talks about this exact topic... She raises money one dollar at a time... because lobbyists want nothing to do with h, and her with them. We should get rid of these lobbyists and get the candidates to work for their fund raising.

There are no Democrats in todays party that hold old JFK style liberal values... They are all Globalists, War Mongers, Neo-Socialists and whatnot...

That eliminates the campaign "war chest". That eliminates being beholden to people who donate. They finish their term with $40-60 million dollars in the bank - enough to comfortably live off of for the rest of their lives without any kind of "help" from donors.

And $10 million/year per congress critter really wouldn't impact the budget either.

My argument against this is that while it reduces incentive to bribe and such. For the people who are power hungry, it won't do anything. And that's our real problem right now.

They have restrictive election laws in Chinada... Some years ago a member of parliament from my hometown lost his seat because he used some of his own money during his reelection... It was a small sum of money in comparison to US politics none the less... He was going to fight it... The PM at the time said he was going to table a vote to remove his pension... and he ran like a little bitch. BTW, said person even spent a couple months in jail on crime.

Can you imagine if the US dealt with their elected officials in the same manner... They'd need to build a bigger prison to house them.

There will always be complaints from the Elitists. They think that they are above the law.

I'm sure Trump can get done what he needs to in 4 years... he doesn't need 16. If they don't JFK him or do the same thing the CIA did to Nixon... Trump needs to get rid of the Department of Education, send it back to the states and local government to run. He needs to purge the DOJ and FBI whereby he decentralizes the FBI. There has to be an open process of J6 where records aren't destroyed right after the report is released... The list goes on and on...
