    2020:

During Biden's campaign he promises, in no uncertain terms, that there will be no work done to continue building the border wall. Once elected, his administration ceases work on the wall.

The peanut gallery rejoices and claims Trump, and his supporters, are
horrible because they want to build the wall and for thinking it will work.

    2023:

Biden breaks his campaign promise, stating that although he does not really want to, because of record numbers of crossings, work must resume on building the wall in Texas.

The reaction of the peanut gallery will be very interesting. So far, some
are giving him a pass claiming that the wall must continue because evil
Trump allocated the money. However, the news is reporting that it is being done because Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection have stated
that it must resume in order to stem the tide of migrants -- apparently
    because they believe it works.

I suspect that the cartels have recently neglected to pay their monthly Biden bill.

OR that too many migrants are "escaping" without paying their fee to the cartels.

    Biden breaks his campaign promise,

Did anyone actually believe that he would keep his promises?

    1. He's a Democrat. Those people don't believe lying is wrong.
    2. He's a chronic, habitual liar.

Because that one was a "Trump thing," I actually thought he'd keep that
one. Problem is that it grew from a "turn TX blue like we did CA" plan
into a problem for already blue places like NYC and Chicago. So not only
was Border Protection asking for help, so were the Democrat leaders (and voters) in these areas.

Also, because it was a "Trump thing," I do believe it is one promise that
many supporters completely expected him to keep. So, in this case, at
least some of the more ardent "we need open borders" ones might believe the
    lie is wrong.

So some one (or group) put Biden in a position where he would be damned if he did, and damned if he didn't.

At least I hoped someone planned that.

If they didn't it could be a happy accident for someone, and an unfortunate accident for his handlers.
