I was recently through Albuquerque... twice. I can tell you that their
problem is not guns. Their problem is too many street people and too many
drug addicts (on illegal drugs). Fixing those kinds of problems is "too
hard" and probably doesn't win leftist votes like gun grabbing.

I can also tell you I saw a *whole* lot more weed dispensaries than I did grocery stores. I know because I was looking for the latter and kept
driving by the former.

I lived in Albuquerque for a long time. There is something really wrong with New Mexico. Just about everyone that I ever met there seemed like they were up to no good in one way or another.

I was working at a casino in ABQ, and there was a concert happening. I was herding hundreds of people, and ABQ Mayor Richard Berry parked his car illegally, and then walked up to me and said "I'm Mayor Berry. Where do I go?"

Apparently he thought that elites could park wherever they want, and that there was a special entrance for elites, so that they can skip the line!

I told him "Right here" as I pointed to the super long line that was for everybody to use. He gave me a mad dog face and then walked away to ask another security guard the same question.

The drug addicts didn't disgust me as much as thing guy did ;)

Update on this issue: A federal court in Albuquerque blocked the governor's gun ban. Also, the governor is facing impeachment by the state's house.

(My prediction: The impeachment won't go anywhere, and the leftists in New Mexico won't even remember any of this by election day.)

A couple of observations:

(1) while traveling recently, I went through several states. One was California and another was New Mexico. The only state that bragged about
road and infrastructure work being tied to "Build Back Better" and/or the "Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill" was NM. Made me wonder if it was just
them, or if it was because they got a lot more money than the other states.

(2) the Biden administration is cutting funding to high schools that
include archery and gun sports in their athletic departments. There was a recent article about a high school girls archery team that might have to
fold as a result.
