Between the brownouts during calm weather & attempting to get Arca to answer on something other than port 23...is there anything I need to
edit in the HOSTS & SERVICES files or any other files to open up non-standard ports? Using DD-WRT...am confused which "port forwarding" section I need to set up for these ports...combined with anything in
Arca.
I'm assuming you're using SIO/VMODEM here.
Go into the \mptn\etc\services file. Comment out the telnet ports and
add something like this:
vmotelnet 10123/tcp
vmotelnet 10123/udp
Save and reboot.
Note you can only have one telnet port open. You can't double-dip. :D

Thanks again!
Sure thing. It's covered in more detail in the VMODEM docs.
You know, those documents we never read. <G>
