The mypal browser supports the cbc gem/live play system! it stopped working for FF on XP. but mypal supports it. sweet! i was missing some cbc radio programming for a couple of years! on my preferred system that is connected to external speakers.

browser, which itself was based on code from Mozilla Firefox.

I'm also finding that Mypal is even much faster in rendering
pages than FF on my XP system. Pale Moon may have similar
performance. I only stick with FF on select sites that have my
login creds remembered.

But my whole experience is just confirmation that technically
there is no reason to abandon a 32bit browser it happens to be
operated on XP. Mypal proved that continued support for
today's sites is possible. My goodness, and we're only talking
about supporting a simple web-based audio stream.

Indeed. A lot of what has become obsolete since the beginning of the
public internet age has become obsolete because someone wanted control over what is considered obsolete (and to keep selling new things).
