    April 13 - National Peach Cobbler Day

    MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

    Title: Great Grandma's Peach Cobbler
    Categories: Five, Pies, Fruits, Desserts
    Yield: 8 Servings

    29 oz Can sliced peaches; drained,
    - reserving juice
    1 c Self-rising flour
    1 c White sugar
    1 lg Egg
    1/2 c Butter; melted

    Set oven @ 350┬║F/175┬║C.

    Arrange peach slices in a 9" round baking dish. Pour
    about half the reserved peach juice on top; discard
    remaining juice. Beat egg, flour, and sugar in a bowl
    until combined; pour over peaches. Drizzle melted
    butter over flour mixture.

    Bake until golden brown, about 45 mins.

    Title: Herman Peach Cobbler
    Categories: Pies, Fruits, Pastry
    Yield: 9 Servings

    1 c Herman Starter
    1/2 c Oil
    3 lg Eggs
    1/2 c Milk
    1 ts Vanilla
    2 c All-purpose flour
    1 c Sugar
    1 1/2 ts Baking powder
    1/2 ts Baking soda
    2 ts Cinnamon
    1/2 ts Salt
    6 oz Box instant pudding mix
    29 oz Can peach slices; drained

    Mix herman starter, oil, eggs, milk and vanilla. Add all
    dry ingredients. Mix well. This is a thick batter.

    Drain peaches and place in a greased 9" x 13" baking
    pan. Spoon batter over peaches. Bake at 325oF/165oC for
    30 to 40 minutes. Serve warm with half and half or
    cream.
