MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
Title: Multi-Grain Raisin Nut Cereal

Yield: 12 Servings
1/2 c Pure maple syrup
1/3 c Honey
3 tb Canola oil
1 1/4 tb Vanilla extract
4 1/2 c Quick-cooking or old fashion
- oats
1 c Quick-cooking barley
3/4 c Chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2 c Wheat germ
1 ts Ground cinnamon
1/4 ts Ground nutmeg
7 oz Pkg raisins or chopped dried
- fruit of choice
Oven @ 325┬║F/163┬║C.
Prepare a large jelly-roll pan with a light coating of
cooking spray.
In a sauce pan over low heat, combine the maple syrup,
honey, oil and vanilla. Stir until well combined and
warm. Remove from heat.
In a large bowl, mix together all other ingredients -
EXCEPT for the raisins (or dried fruit). Add the warm
mixture and stir until all ingredients are well-coated.
Spread mixture evenly over the prepared pan.
Bake for 30 minutes or until nicely browned. Remove from
oven and stir in the raisins.
Allow cereal to cool completely before serving or storing.
Cereal stores well in an air-tight container for up to
two weeks.
Tastier, healthier and cheaper than similar store-bought
cereals.
Makes 12 servings
