    It's (extended) ASCII 246, an o with two dots above it, but the missing CHRS kludge here might be causing issues when interpreting and displaying it.

    I have asked James to please put this on his to-do-list for the future -- and I think he has -- but as I have understood it, "good" charset support would require some bigger changes to the source code.

    But I'm hoping for a "lite" version somewhere along the way -- maybe just having the FSED read the detected terminal charset and adding that (currently "CP437 2" or "UTF-8 4", I believe)? -- but I don't know exactly how things are stored in the JAM message bases or if there are other obstacles, so I can't say for sure...
