    Aha! didn't know that one. I made a golded translation table to CP850. It wasn't all that much work as it is close to LATIN-1.

    As a point/sysop my experience is limited to Amiga, Windows, and Linux machines.

    As a student I did some assignments on a PDP-11, that might have run under VMS, but I don't remember.

    Unfortunately not a VAX although that would be cool! It's an AlphaServer DS10. I like VAXen but the desktop systems are hard to find, and OpenVMS is no longer supported on that platform.

    Digital Equipment Corporation Multinational Character Set.

    I use real and emulated VT420 terminals with my OpenVMS system, and that's the default character set. Basic ASCII with some expanded characters. Not planning to use expanded characters in mail messages; just the basic set.
