Hello Everybody,

There are two kinds of storms in this world -
suriveable, and unsurviveale. The one headed
my way is unsurviveable. Marco wimped out,
losing its gusto quickly, coming in at a mere
10 miles per hour, barely enough to move the
wind gauge. Laura is a very nasty woman,
packing a punch higher than Katrina, and might
even become as powerful as Camille, as well
as bigger.

If I am no longer around tomorrow morning,
do not expect any more postings from Fidonet's
favorite troll. This is all the fault of global
warming, regardless of what anybody else says.

Here is where I was yesterday.
When the little storm, Marco, made landfall.
This is in Cocodrie, Louisiana.
Right along the coast.

The big one, Laura, was on its way.
Marco was puny, compared to that bad gal,
who was packing punches up to 175 mph.
With an expected storm surge of 30 feet,
with waves on top of that, going 40 miles
inland.

Marco was puny, with a much smaller storm
surge than Laura. And yet, as the picture
shows, even small storms can cause lots
of damage.

I went north to escape the path. Which
is why I am still here, with electricity,
typing a message in Fidonet.
