They seem to be way off, all of the numbers.

SVT.se uses Johns Hopkins CSSE data:

It's in Swedish, but a link to Johns Hopkins CSSE can be found at the bottom of the page (after "Läget i världen").

Sweden has a rather high death rate ATM (148.4 dead per 1 million people) compared to e.g. USA (118.2 / 1 million).

Seems to me Sweden may give the USA a run for the money, even
taking the top spot in the very near future. And then Bj}{rn and
all the Swedes will honestly be able to claim "We're Number One!"

The major reason for the high Swedish death numbers seems to
be that we honestly report the death toll in our nursing homes
(more than 60% of our dead and counting). Not all countries do
that -- including the kingdom of Joe "the perfect leader" Orange.

    You're talking to yourself again.

It is even worse in our prisons, where almost all the inmates
are infected. Like nursing homes, no visitors allowed, and no
means of getting them out. Even after they are dead, they are
laid to rest without a proper funeral. Such things are just
not allowed with this novel coronavirus ...

Sadly, some politicians (among others) use media to express the numbers they want the public to see and base their opinion on.

It's kinda smart to make sure there's a severe shortage of testing equipment/facilities. That way the famous "plateau" can be reached much faster and the economy can spin up again. Hail to the Chief!

A national leader, such as the POTUS, is supposed to inspire
people. Give them hope for a better future. But that is not
what is happening today. Not with this president.

Unfortunately for the USA and the world, the POTUS has no national
plan, or any plan at all, in regards to COVID-19. That is not a
political statement, but simply an observation that most folks are
    in agreement on.

I know how to lie with statistics. I was actually trained in
how to do that. So was Björn. But that is not the issue. The
POTUS is an incompetent fool, and hasn't got a clue as to what
is going on or how to solve the problem. He is simply winging
it as time goes on, hoping people believe whatever he says as
    being expert advice.

    Hello Kurt,

A national leader, such as the POTUS, is supposed to inspire
people. Give them hope for a better future. But that is not
what is happening today. Not with this president.

The President of the West and the President of the East are doing a great job of informing people and providing hope and leadership in this crisis.

The USA has a third of the 2.5 million COVID-19 cases around the world
but only 4.2% of the Earth's population. The USA also has the highest
number of deaths of any country.

"I really believe it could have been billions of people [who died]
had we not done what we did. We made a lot of good decisions."
    ~ Donald Trump

The USA has a population of 330 million.

Unfortunately for the USA and the world, the POTUS has no national
plan, or any plan at all, in regards to COVID-19. That is not a
political statement, but simply an observation that most folks are
    in agreement on.

Hide the numbers, deflect blame, consolidate power, and try to make your competitors look bad, while providing advantages to those who've funded you.
Sounds like a pretty consistent plan.

Politics is an honorable profession. But then, so is prostitution.

Some graphics are not translated, but I think enough is made to make it all understandable.

I can particularly recommend half way down the (rather big) page -- "Trend by country" -- where you get a list of all countries in the world sorted in eight different ways.

Sorry Ward, but "Deaths by pop" doesn't look too good on Belgium. But neither does Sweden... :(

Pretty certain that a lot of countries are notorious liars these days, hiding the truth if the news is bad is quite common.

Oh yes! That's obvious when you look at the numbers...
