The Corona pandemic is real
Ward Dossche - 2:292/854
There are now tens of thousands of Corona stories worldwide ... a
bunch ended bad, others have ended good. This is mine, one of so many

We know that it is real -- and thanks for sharing your story.
I'm glad you survived, mate. Thank you for the taking the time to
document your struggle. Forget about lottery tickets since you used up
all your luck, if you believe in anything of a 'luck' aspect of life.
Maybe it's Russian roulette.
I have not the slightest clue where I might have caught it.
Thank you so much for sharing your story with all of us, and I am also so glad that you were able to beat the beast.
We hope all in your family continue to do well.

Glad you are better my friend. I was saying prayers for you to get better.
"It is JUST a flu... This is all baloney". I let her rant and rave,
then I just hung up the phone. There was no point in trying to warn her.
Stories like that really saddens me. Joe Orange surely has managed to divide the formerly so united US people.
Sadder still are the idiots who "drink the koolaid"... :(
True. Jim Jones' spirit lives on... :(
People like my sister who are Trump followers are very much like Jim Jones'
people... though Jim Jones intended to kill all those people rather than be jailed.
I see Trump (think it was last night) suggested injecting bleach or Lysol (household cleaner) would be useful to kill Covid.. uncanny.

That was Newt Gingrich's doing. Trump just puts a much more public face to it.
Trump was being serious when he made those remarks. Nothing
"sarcastic" about anything he said. He honestly believes what
he says in public is the gospel truth. And his followers eat
it all up, believing every word he says.
Dangerously so, at least for some of them. Like the fellow you
mentioned in the article in The Onion below.
I liked Newt better when he was a history prof in New Orleans.
His novels are kind of fun to read, having read two of them.
While in Congress, he represented a district just outside of
"Stupid is as stupid does." Gump rhymes with Trump... 8-)
she finally "understands". I sure hope so <sigh>
I guess I am somewhere in the middle. The virus IS a serious thing and
needs to be dealt with in a common sense manner. But I see some powers
that be (Be them political, business, or media) that try and deal with
the virus in ways that in the long run will result in a much more
negative effect that the virus alone.
Btw, a note to Jeff: There _can't_ be anything more negative than death. Ask my first-responder relative in NYC who died from it at the age of 28.
Nothing will be achieved as long as the leadership in the USA continues to
see
this as a national matter and fails to realize this is a global thing
requirin
a global response.
I think that since NYC was a real hotspot early on picking up so much of the
virus from it's ports of entry, airlines, trains, etc. etc., I could be wrong, but I think Gov. Cuomo knows that if the virus isn't seen as a global thing we are doomed. At least that is how he talks in his daily updates?
"America first" is not going to cut it ... it's even the worst approach
possible.
Yes, that is true, it's the pits, just like Trump.

Yes, Cuomo raised red flags early and plenty.
Now I have trouble talking to my Montana friends who remain convinced it is
just a minor flu and all the rest propaganda. Of course, social distancing is the rule in Montana in a state that large with so few people living.
Yes, that is true, it's the pits, just like Trump.
Hopefully as a result of this pandemic and his bad handling, he won't be elected. I can't imagine after what happened that he still can get enough volume in the electoral college.
