Too early to shout success, but so far so good, it seems:

I have an opinion to vent here ... :-) ...

Before I comment, may I please emphasize that the above chart is not in any way to be taken literally (as in absolute numbers) but it's the trend that's important.

    1) Sweden is a very big country (a lot of people fail to notice that), therefor the population density of 25 people per square kilometer is in sharp contrast to my country where the density is 367 people per square kilometer. For that reason alone Sweden has a very very much lower reproduction ratio of the virus than any other country.

True. But more than two million Swedes live in the Stockholm area. 1.5 million in the city itself (3,950 people per km^2).

    2) Sweden only counts deaths of people who previously tested positive
    for the
virus. Those who presumable died because of the virus but were not tested yet are not counted.

    Totally wrong.

    3) Sweden does not count Covid19-deaths from nursing homes ...

Once again, totally wrong. In fact, this is exactly why the Swedish death toll is so high: we are one of a few countries that actually count the nursing homes. They account for more than 50% of our deaths.

    4) There is no uniform counting way between several countries and
    because of
this numbers are being kept low. If they were counted as they are in Belgium Sweden's numbers might like times-4 or -5.

True. That's why I can only repeat: any graph showing the development *must* not be taken verbatim, it's the trend that is important.

    5) I think it is very cruel to endanger an entire population for an experiment.

I think it's cruel to endanger an entire population with edicts from a handful of politicians. Some people may trust their lives with *their* politicians -- I don't...

Each and every country is experimenting. We know next to nothing about
the virus, how it spreads, what advantages and disadvantages measures or countermeasures will have. I think one important point is to keep people informed as good as possible to allow them to draw their own
conclusions. Each government will be well advised to communicate clearly with their population to explain what they are doing and why. So far my impression was that Sweden is doing quite ok on that part.

    Amen to all the above!

    Hello Ward,

handful of politicians. Some people may trust their lives with *their*
    politicians -- I don't...

I nearly got killed because of a politician in March.

We all nearly got killed because of a politician in March.
We all still might get killed because of a politician today.
So what difference does it make whether we get killed today,
    tomorrow, or some other day?

I mean, we all gotta die some day ...

    I would think.

    Probably?

Just walk into a church and shout "Allahu Akbar!"

Best done with a jacket on, and in plain sight.

Real struggle is lying in bed wondering if it's worth it to get

Go take a rest; you deserve it.

    5) I think it is very cruel to endanger an entire population for an
    experiment.

Cruel for sure, Ward, but also very much inhuman.

"I don't use insulin. Should I be? I never thought about it.
But I know a lot of people are very badly affected, right?
    Unbelievable." ~Donald J. Trump

A reporter then asked him why he would take insulin. Not having
a clue, Trump asked surgeon general Jerome Adams to answer, in which
the good doctor explained that, "Your body, Mr. President, actually
    makes insulin endogenousy."

Now you are talking about a president who does not smoke. Or
drink alcohol. Or tea. Or coffee. So who are we to stop him from
taking insulin in order to prevent diabetes?

I can just see it now. New York Times headline.
President Trump OD's on insulin. May he rest in peace.

OTOH, he has survived taking bleach and disinfectant, along
with hydroxychloride, and never wears a mask in public. The man
is virtually indestructable, even when shining light in places
    where the sun don't shine.

Elvis Presley sang a song about him long ago - "Don't Be Cruel".

Then he met with Richard Nixon, at the White House, who made
him a secret secret service agent. At the age of 42, Elvis was
reputed to have died. But that was all part of the ruse. Lisa
Marie knows the truth. So does Michael Jackson. But they are
both sworn to secrecy. Along with Nicolas Cage.

Anyway, Elvis' secret is safe with me. His orange wig and make-up
might fool everybody else, but not the ones who are in-the-know.
