The Moon is within Earth's atmosphere.
Nope. The atmosphere of the Earth reaches up to about 10.000 km (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atmosphere_of_Earth#Stratification) whereas the orbital distance of the moon is almost 400.000 km (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon).

Perhaps Sweden should have its own space program.
How many Swedish flags has Sweden's astronauts planted on the Moon? More than the United States? Or even as many?

It's easy to claim credit for something of which you basically
only provide the finances ... a lot of German, Polish, Belginese,
Danish and other languages were spoken during the development of
the Atlas, Saturn, Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programmes.

Is that your definition of a space program? Putting flags on the moon? Jeeezzz...
Perhaps Sweden should have its own space program.
We've had since 1964 and still doing well, thank you very much.

According to those in the know, mankind has never left Earth's

really be from Mars -
Which has, true or not, nothing to do with the distance between Moon and Earth, or the extension of Earth's atmosphere.

Well, since nobody has ever been there, that leaves only Little
Green Men from Mars ...

In this case we can also say that the Earth goes through the Sun atmosphere which is spread by the Solar wind. ;)
