Oh yeah, sorry for the confusion... I've been back for a while...
essentially I only left fido for about 2 months and that was indeed a
    while ago.

So _yes_, you can log in here as a user just as before to
http://www.filegate.net/ :) Let me know if you have any problems :)

Well, maybe. First Malware Bytes spit up on it as being a "Trojan".

    Geez :)

Well, Malware Bytes tends to be overly vigilant on the side of caution.
It absolutely abhors my iObit suite of utilities

Then I got an immediate disconnect which I suspect is caused by my
term program going for Port 23 - which hardly anyone uses any more.

Right... I don't use port 23... that's probably why you got the false warning...

These are the ports I have always used: httpd:8090 ftpd:60721 binkd
    24555

so try 60721 for ftp... that should work fine... and as for warnings
you mentioned, I can assure you they are false positives... everything here has been tested with clamav.

I'll give it a shot later today via HyperTerm. Then if that works set
it up in SynchTerm that I use everywhere else.

    How are you on cherries?

    Title: Chile-Chocolate Microwave Mug Cake
    Categories: Cakes, Snacks, Chocolate, Chilies
    Yield: 1 Serving

    4 tb (45 g) self raising flour
    4 tb (55 g) caster sugar
    2 tb (17 g) cocoa powder
    1 lg Egg
    3 tb (43 ml) milk
3 tb (25 ml) sunflower oil
    3 tb Chocolate chips
    sm Dash of vanilla extract
lg Pinch of dried chile *

    * You could use ground chile powder or replace the choc
chips with chile chocolate. You could also use more or
less chile depending on your tastebuds.

Add dry ingredients (including chile) to a large coffee
mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly Add
the milk and oil - mix well (don't forget the corners /
edges of the mug). Add the chocolate chips (if using)
and vanilla extract, and mix again Put your mug in the
microwave and cook for 3 minutes (in an 800 watt
    microwave).

The cake will rise above the top of the mug, but don't
worry it's supposed to! Allow to cool a little, tip out
    onto a plate.

EAT and enjoy - this can serve two - it's a huge portion
    for one!

    Ok, sounds good :)

That port# 60721 gets me into to the BBBS FTP server. Full stop. No key
press from my end has any discernable result.

What's the port for the BBS? If you're still running it.

I have a microwave Hersey's chocolate chip coffee-cake mug that uses a similar recipe so this recipe looks like it would work fine :)

Sounds just right for me Lol

I've been using my breadmachine (zojirushi) quite a bit lately... I remember buying that bread machine just because it created long loves rather than those shorter-square ones... :) Dump in ingredients, push some buttons and voila... bread or cake imm.diatement :)

I mostly use mine through the dough cycle then put the dough in a "regule"
loaf pan(s) and finish in the oven. Or, make long, narrow loaves like

    ===BreadMachine Lemon
    Pound Cake===

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

Title: Bread Machine Crusty French Bread
    Categories: Breads
    Yield: 2 loaves

    1 1/2 c Room temperature water
1 tb Vegetable or olive oil; more
    - for baking
    2 tb Dry milk
    2 c A-P flour; more as needed
    2 c Bread flour
    2 ts Sugar
    2 ts Salt
    2 ts Active dry yeast
    2 tb Medium-grind cornmeal; for
    - baking
    1 lg Egg white
    1 tb Cold water

Add the room temperature water, oil, dry milk, A-P
flour, bread flour, sugar, salt, and yeast to the bread
machine according to your manufacturer's preferred
    order.

Use the French bread setting on your machine but remove
the dough after the last kneading cycle before the
baking cycle begins. Or use the dough cycle, punch down
the dough to let air escape, let it rise again (45
minutes to 1 hour), knead lightly, and let it rise again
(another 45 minutes to 1 hour) before forming into
    loaves.

Spray or lightly oil a large cookie sheet and sprinkle
    with the cornmeal.

To form the loaves, transfer the dough (it will be soft)
to a lightly floured board. Sprinkle with a little
    all-purpose flour.

Cut the dough into 2 portions and roll each portion into
a rectangle about 12 to 15 inches wide (add more flour
    as needed).

Starting at the long end, roll up the dough, pinching
the seams well. Repeat with the next roll.

Place the loaves on the prepared cookie sheet; cover
with a clean dishtowel and let rise another hour.

While the loaves are rising, set the oven @ 400-|F/205-|C.
Place a pie plate on the lower rack of the oven and add
about 1" of boiling water. Place the pan with the dough
on the middle rack and bake the bread for 15 minutes.

Lower the heat to 350-|F/175-|C and bake for another 25
    minutes until golden brown.

About 5 minutes before the loaves are done, mix the egg
white with the cold water in a small bowl and brush the
    loaves with the egg wash.

Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool.
