Quoting Ruth Haffly to Shawn Highfield <=-

Wonder if it's the same storm we hit Wed. night in Nebraska.

Nope. The storm formed over hot and humid southwestern Ontario Saturday
morning as a cold air front blew in from Michigan. The storm front
then moved east from there hugging the north shore of the Great
Lakes. It's ferocity peaked around Ottawa, still badly damaged Quebec and
the tail end was felt in New Brunswick and Maine late Saturday night.
The storm front had straight line winds that moved at up to 132
km/hour, so as bad a category one hurricane.

    Cheers

    Jim

    Hi Jim,

Whew! It's been a wild spring for storms. As we were driving across
Nebraska on Wed., it was cloudy, threatening rain. I kept looking for
the possibility of a tornado but thankful i didn't see any.

The storm front had straight line winds that moved at up to 132
km/hour, so as bad a category one hurricane.

That's more of a Category 2, winds 96-110 mph. Not one to be out in,
    that's for sure!

    Catch you later,
