    HINDENBURG DISASTER: On this day in 1937, while landing at Lakehurst,
    New Jersey, on its first transatlantic crossing of the year, the German dirigible Hindenburg burst into flames and was destroyed, killing 36
    of the 97 persons aboard.

    Title: Dirigibles (Stuffed Baked Potatoes)

    Yield: 4

    4 lg Baking potatoes
    1/2 c Butter; in 8 pats, divided
    1 md Onion; fine chopped
    1 lg Bell pepper; cored, diced sm
    1/2 c Diced cooked turkey, chicken
    - or pork
    1/2 c Diced cooked ham
    1 c Sharp cheddar cheese; diced,
    - divided use
    1 c Provolone cheese; diced,
    - divided use
    Sour cream or yogurt;
    - divided use

    MMMMM-------------------------TO SERVE-------------------------------
    Chopped chives
    Crumbled crispy bacon

    Wash potatoes in cold water and place, wet on a baking
    sheet.

    Bake potatoes # 400ºF/205ºC until done, about 1 hour.
    Let potatoes cool to the touch.

    Cut potatoes in half lengthwise and scoop out pulp,
    leaving little boats. Put a pat of butter in each shell;
    set aside.

    Divide pulp in half, reserving half for another use.
    Mash remaining potato pulp and mix with onion, pepper,
    meat, half the cheese and a spoon or two of the sour
    cream. Spoon into each shell, leaving a well in the
    middle. Divide remaining cheese into the wells and put a
    pat of butter on top. Chill overnight.

    WHEN READY TO COOK: Bake at 375ºF/190ºC until heated
    through.

    TO SERVE: Top with sour cream, bacon, and chives and
    serve with a nice green salad and a crusty bread.
