  • Sad news.

    I'm sorry to have to report that Loo's traveling companion Lilli passed
    away May 4 at about 3am California time from pancreatic/liver cancer.
    She was at home. Her son said she wanted to be there, so on Saturday
    they took her from the hospital to her home. He said they had hospice
    care and made her as comfortable as possible.

    Thank you for letting us know. We really liked her. Last time we saw
    her about a year ago, she looked and acted quite spry. She had done a
    good job looking after Michael in his last few years.

    When I saw her in mid-January, for lunch, she'd gone through chemo.
    She was scheduled for a PET scan later in the afternoon. Because of
    that upcoming scan she was on a restricted diet, so lunch was a bit
    a bit light. Later I managed to get her sons email address so I could
    keep myself in the loop without bothering her.

    I informed Jacquie and Ian, plus some folks in Phoenix who knew her
    from the flying stuff that she and Loo did. The three of us would also
    visit with them when it was baseball time.
