    GERMAN BEER PURITY LAW: 1516 Duke Wilhelm IV of Bavaria endorses "The
    German Beer Purity Law" (Reinheitsgebot) and adds to it standards for
    the sale of beer in Bavaria, ensuring beer is only brewed from three ingredients – water, barley malt and hops.

    Title: Rosenkohl in Bier Gedunstet (Brussels Sprouts In Beer)
    Categories: Five, Vegetables, Beer
    Yield: 4 Servings

    1 lb Fresh Brussels sprouts
    Beer; any brand, to cover
    1/2 ts Salt
    2 tb Butter

    Trim and wash sprouts. Place in a medium-size saucepan
    and pour enough beer over them to cover. Bring to a boil,
    reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until tender.

    Add more beer if needed, as liquid evaporates. Drain;
    add salt and butter.

    Serve hot.
