I'm not clear what you're expecting to happen. The "Routing NetMail" log messages mean the messages you sent to 21:2/153 were routed to (your uplink, presumably) at 2:2/100. The routing took place (as you have it configured in sbbsecho.ini) based on that log output. <shrug>

Not sure what you're seeing there that isn't right.

    Looks perfectly normal to me.

You didn't answer the reply I sent to you in FSXnet, but I did receive the netmail you sent me (and replied back to you).

So are you saying that the messages are being dropped after I pass them off to the hub?

Your hub is supposed to send them on to their destination node, yes.

It seems that the routing isn't taking place.

Do you have an entry in echocfg for 21:ALL? It looks like you're trying to route your mail to your hub.

If you enter a linked node entry for 21:ALL, you can configure any previously unconfigured node to either route to your hub or set to crash.

...How does this work, is there an orientation?

    Hi,
It does appear that my netmail seems to be working now in both directions as I have received and responded to a couple of private messages.
Should I have different directories for each type of ftn I am hooked up too? Right now everything says fidonet for the directory structure based on what the wizard setup for me, but am just wondering what is better if I have multiple networks connected to the system.

    Thanks,
    Tom

    Hi,
It seems that after looking at the logs indetail I had a message that was backed up in the mailer's queue.
It was addressed to someone in zone 3 of fidonet and I do not have a connection to that network yet.
I will watch out for this though.

    No, that's not necessary.

That's fine. Your "other nets" just look like foreign FidoNet zones.

    Hi,
I am sorry for the annoying posts about netmail not working for me.
I was an idiot. The bbs I was sending mail towards had my netmail forwarded to my Gmail and those messages were ending up in spam.
i checked my spam today and I had about 10 test messages in my spam folder that were for the other system.
I disabled the netmail to e-mail forwarding and everything checks out.
Now back to working on figuring out how file areas work.
