Explicitly, to allow a quoting style like this:
"On xxx, user yyy wrote this:"
It seems that Synchronet has a hard-coded style for this, but I would be very happy to be proven wrong!
Synchronet itself doesn't hard-code the quote format. It depends largely on the message editor your use. There seems to be a
convention that quoted lines start with a '>' (or, with a small part of the author's handle before a '>'). Some do it a bit
differently though.
