Some time ago i wrote a short review of Post Bot.

I recently came across a similar game called Team Droid. Team Droid
is a DOS executable and runs directly on FreeDOS without an emulator.
Like Post Bot it is a freeware puzzle game where you program a robot
to maneuver around obstacles, pick up lost memory cards, and deliver
them to memory readers. Team Droid comes with a fine PDF manual. I
enjoyed the extra complexity in this game.

Team Droid has a slightly unusual interface.
Everything is controlled using the arrow keys and the FIRE key.
The FIRE key is configured each time you run the game.
It will either be Ctrl, Space, or Enter.
To open a menu, press but do not release the FIRE key.
Use the up and down arrows to select a menu option.
Keep in mind that you may scroll beyond the visible menu options.
This may reveal new menu options that were not visible before.
Release the FIRE key to choose the selected menu option.

Run TDROID.EXE to start Team Droid.
Wait a few seconds for the splash screen to clear.
At the Press FIRE prompt, press Ctrl, Space, or Enter.
This will select which key you want to use as the Fire key.
At the GAME DETAILS screen, press the DOWN arrow to select the Player: option. Start typing your player name and press Enter when done.
Press the UP arrow to select the Game: New Game option.
Press but do not release the fire key to bring up a menu.
Use the up and down arrow keys to navigate the menu.
    Select "Start game".
    Release the fire key.
This starts at the Best Scores screen.
Press but do not release the fire key to bring up a menu.
    Select "Proceed".
    Release the fire key.
This proceeds to the Jam Levels, Level 01 screen.
    Select the top left robot.
Press but do not release the fire key.
    Select "Select robot".
    Release the fire key.
This selects Strider as the CURRENT DROID.
Use the arrow keys to move the cursor to map.
Select the red robot head icon on the map.
Press but do not release the fire key.
    Select "Deploy robot".
    Release the fire key.
Notice which direction the robot is facing.
Press but do not release the fire key.
Press the DOWN arrow enough times to select "Proceed".
    Release the fire key.

Now it is time to program the robot.
The Strider robot has 6 instruction slots in RAM.
This means that you can program 6 instructions at a time.

In contrast to Post Bot, you can take as many turns as you need.
In contrast to Post Bot, you have a random selection of actions
(operations) to program the robot with. This means you may need to "skip"
a turn a few times before the necessary action appears. Skip a turn by
doing meaningless actions, such as two "U turns" in a row.

The PDF manual adequately explains everything else.
    Have fun!
