    G'day all,

I was doing a little poking around a few days ago, thinking about digital voice over HF, wondering if there was anything that had any traction, and stumbled across FreeDV.

The samples I've found online were incredibly promising. What's advertised on the tin make it sound like it has fantastic weak signal correction and the audio sounds really fantastic. I'm wondering if anyone has tried it out.

I set it up, but the number of people participating so far is incredibly small, so haven't made any QSOs yet.

    73,
    Randall

    Not yet.
This is on my list of nodes to try out.
From what I've read I will need to set my radio up so that the radio's audio gets sent to my computer in the same way that it does for modes like Ft8 and others.
In order for me to use it though I will need to use my computer's mic to send voice and it will translate the digital audio and send it over the air as digital packets.

I set it up, but the number of people participating so far is

The best times for me to get on the radio are the weekends here in Florida so maybe we can setup a time to get on the air and see if we have a path between us.

I set it up, but the number of people participating so far is incredibly sma so haven't made any QSOs yet.

What did setting it up entail? Do you have your radio plugged into your computer's audio interface?
