• I think we have lost

    From Dumas Walker@VERT/CAPCITY2 to ACCESSION on Sunday, October 19, 2025 11:32:44
    FYI, this message also came via Fidonet with this path:

    @PATH: 2320/105 229/426 320/219 221/1 280/464

    I posted it to Fido DEBATE from 1:2320/105, so that would make sense. It left here and went to Nick Andre's system, which is where I have Fido DEBATE routed to, so that would also make sense.

    As you appantely also saw it in Dove DEBATE and I didn't post it there (it doesn't show up in Dove DEBATE here), I would suggest that someone who got it from the FIDO side (via FTN) then bagged it up in a QWK packet and sent it out into DOVE.

    I don't see my FIDO-posted messages in Dove DEBATE. I don't see your DOVE messages, or MRO's, or mine, or anyone else's except Rug Rat's, in FIDO
    DEBATE. The last FIDO DEBATE post received here before Rug Rat's is from May, *2024*, from the "girls got chip planted" spammer.

    Seeing as how I am not seeing the same messages in *both* areas, and seeing
    as how I previously posted my not-the-same internal codes, I don't think there is a config error here causing the crossposting.

    X-FTN-PATH 135/250 115 3634/12

    That is the path that Rug Rat's FIDO messages take to get from his system to me. Unless it is maybe happening on Rug Rat's system, I don't
    think that helps much as anyone could be receiving the FIDO messages, that isn't between me or him, and then repackaging them as QWK messages to DOVE.

    I am posting this message to you on DOVE. If it makes it to FIDO DEBATE, checking the path it took might help.

    A criminologist once said that this crap happens because the abuser does not believe you are credible threat. Ie. if everybody knows Arelor is a dangerous sociopath who will hang you with your own entrails if you dare looking at his horse in a funny way, then Arelor is very unlikely to need to ever prove his point.

    Dumas is very unlikely to ever look at Arelor's horse now. :D

    In summer, some kids from the next village tend to visit the horse yard daily to pet the horses, and I have not killed the children yet. You'd think it makes me happy when somebody makes the horses happy :-)

    Yeah, I would reckon it does, especially if the horses recognize them and
    enjoy the visits.
