• Looking for a Linux Music Player

From nenemon@39:902/501 to All on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 13:01:26
I installed Linux Mint 20.2 as an on-the-side replacement to the mess that was Windows 10 about a year ago now and haven't yet been able to find a music player application that can replicate the clean experience that iTunes provides. I'm looking for a music player that is rich in features yet not a mess to use and can preferably display album cover art to make finding specific
music much easier. I have already tried running iTunes on Linux Mint with WINE, Lutris and Play On Linux but have only had a buggy unusable mess so far. As an extra, the ability to sync music to iPods would also be nice to have but is not necessary. If anyone has any recommendations I would be happy to try them out.

Btw1: This network is about the Amiga!
Btw2: AmigaNet is a real name network.

    But try out "Amarok"... ;)

    Bye, Wilfred.

You liked the Windows version of iTunes? I thought that was just an urban legend...

Anyway, you probably have three options:

    1) Install FS-UAE, buy AmigaOS 3.1 ROMs from Cloanto, set up a basic
Workbench 3.1 environment, and install EaglePlayer on it.
    2) Ask your question in one of the Linux subs on FidoNet, fsxNet, DoveNet, LinuxNet, etc
    3) Install Straberry Music Player in Linux Mint

    Good luck!
