    Salt Lake City, Utah - We heard a rumor that Utah consumes the most
    of this special ingredient that you can find in the dessert aisle.

    MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

    Title: Cherry Cola Parfaits
    Categories: Beverages, Nuts, Desserts, Dairy
    Yield: 6 servings

    6 oz (2 pkg) cherry-flavored
    - gelatin
    1 2/3 c Boiling water
    2 c Carbonated cola
    1 c Chopped walnuts
    1 c Chopped maraschino cherries
    1/3 c Frozen whipped topping;
    - thawed
    3 Plastic drinking straws;
    - halved

    Place gelatin in a large bowl and add boiling water;
    stir until gelatin is dissolved then stir in the cola.

    Chill for about 45 minutes then stir in the chopped
    walnuts and cherries. Evenly divide the gelatin into 6
    dessert glasses (1 cup per glass) and chill for 1 hour.

    Top each with a dollop of whipped topping and garnish
    with straws (just for fun).

    Memphis, Tennessee - This hometown is famous for a few things, like
    great music, a whole lotta history, and our favorite: good ol'
    Memphis barbecue.

    MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

    Title: Bacon-Barbecue Joe
    Categories: Five, Pork, Beef, Vegetablees, Breads
    Yield: 4 servings

    5 sl Bacon
    1 lb Ground beef
    1 sm Onion; chopped
    1 c Barbecue sauce
    1/2 ts (ea) salt & black pepper
    4 Hamburger buns; toasted

    In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook bacon
    until crisp; remove to a paper towel-lined plate. Let
    cool, then crumble.

    In the same skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef
    and onion 6 to 8 minutes or until no pink remains,
    breaking up clumps as it cooks; drain off any excess
    fat. Add crumbled bacon, barbecue sauce, salt, and
    pepper and cook 5 minutes, or until heated through.

    Spoon over toasted buns and serve.
