    Good morning from Azle Texas!

I purged a bunch of echos that had no messages, but I'm sure this one is good just doesn't have any traffic - so I'm making one.

The weather is outstanding here today, it's a beautiful spring day in Texas.

    All the best,

    Tom

Glad to hear the weather is good, so many places that has not been the case as of late.

    Take care...

Hello there! Yes, there is other life out there!

I'm definately going to have to check out your BBS sometime. My Amiga 500 was my main computer during most of my BBSing era, and somewhere in my closet is an A1200 in a mini-tower case that I aquired 20 years ago or so and ran for awhile. I had a PCMICA ethernet adaptor for it and had it on the internet ages ago - but I've moved a few times since then and it hasn't been out of the box in a couple of moves. Very awesome that you have yours up and running!

I flew up for St Louis for the day yesterday and enjoyed the brisk air.
It was nice to step out of Love Field and not be hit by a blast of
humidity. Drove home with the windows down most of the way when not on
    the highways. Very nice.

It will be 100 degrees soon enough, I should take all of my vacation now :) ---------------------------------------------------------

the only thing I don't like about 100F weather is the electric bill and
getting in a hot car, otherwise, bring it on!

    Hi Tom,

I can't take credit for the BBS, I am one of what appears to be a rapidly disappearing class of callers known as "users". There don't appear to be many of us left! ;)

You really need to bring the A1200 out and take a look at it. Plus, if you need to fund a college education or organ transplant with cash you can always put it on EBay. The prices for the A1200s are through the roof. If you have any kind of accelerator board for it you might be able to retire. It's just unreal!

Stop by the BBS if you get a chance, we do a weekly chat on Saturday nights too if you're interested.

Sorry! Yes, so there are so few I just assumed, lol.

I honestly did not know that. I haven't bought any Amiga gear in a long time, but even back 20 years ago the accelerator boards were absolutely out of site expensive. I had one at one point, but I sold it long ago (unfortunately it seems) for more than I bought my first car for :)

The A1200 was more modest, I really wanted one with a mini-tower case and I bought it from someone in Germany off e-bay and had it shipped to Texas. Somehow between my very novice German and Babblefish I managed to get it here ended up with what I thought was good deal on it. At the time you could still buy brand new "old stock" Amiga 1200s from someone in Europe that had bought the entire inventory of them after Commodore went bankrupt, which pretty much put a ceiling on the price of used ones.

My kid is going to College in a couple of years, I'm going to have to check out the market now :)

    Good morning from Adle Texas!

    Hey!

I purged a bunch of echos that had no messages, but I'm sure this
one is good just doesn't have any traffic - so I'm making one.

You're right. This has been a quite dead area for a while now... But it's still hanging in here. I'm glad you did post something!

The weather is outstanding here today, it's a beautiful spring day
    in Texas.

It's been a really good one here in Huntsville this Sunday the 15th. Hopefully tomorrow will be the same - not too exceedingly hot... Time will tell.

    Best regards,
    Marc
