    Hey Benny!

    cat /sys/class/graphics/fb0/virtual_size
    3840,2160

    echo "$COLUMNS x $LINES"
    240 x 67

    Currently using latarcyrheb-sun32 consolefont supplied by the kbd package. It is small at this resolution but I can read it. I am thinking it might be time for sun36 consolefonts before my eyesight gets worse, which I am sure it will.

    The above paragraph fits into a single line on this monitor with only two spaces to spare a the end. Definetly more than enough real estate for four bash driven terminals via tmux. :-)

    Gotta love it.

    I am wondering if your Asus has the legacy boot option in the bios or does it require uefi?

    Hey Benny!

    yes legecy is supported, but uefi is default

    Same situation here, however booting to nvme took a bit of head banging and rebooting to more or less get working with uefi. I am not 100% happy with it but all things considered I can learn to live with it. For the record here is what dmidecode thinks about the bios;

    The "BIOS boot specification is supported" appears to be flakey wrt nvme disks. Your mileage may vary.
