Captain James Cook's ship runs aground off the coast of Australia, in
the world's largest coral reef system. The Great Barrier Reef was
already well-known to the Aboriginal Australian and Torres Strait
Islander peoples.

1 lb Ground beef
2 cl Garlic; minced
1 lg Onion; chopped
2 md potatoes; washed, unpeeled,
- sliced
1 c Uncooked rice
1 c Diced celery
2 c Kidney beans; drained
2 c Stewed tomatoes; drained
1 c Juice drained from tomatoes
Salt & pepper
Lightly brown beef in skillet with garlic, drain, and
add salt, pepper and some Worchestershire sauce to it.
Beef should still be rare as it will continue to cook in
the oven.
In a large casserole dish layer onion, then potatoes.
Sprinkle some salt and pepper on potato layer. Add
ground beef. Make the next layer rice, then celery, then
kidney beans, tomatoes, and finally tomato juice. Add
some more salt and pepper if desired.
Bake at 350┬║F/175┬║C for 2 hours.
Serves: 6 - 8
