    Did you mean sedum AKA stonecrop? They're edible. The leaves have a
    mild, peppery, slightly astringent sour and bitter flavour and
    make for an interesting potherb.

    Red flowering sedum leaves, stems, and tubers are safe to eat raw in
    salads, but yellow flowering sedums have a mild toxicity and need to
    be cooked.

    I am growing one called Sedum reflexum or Sedum rupestre, variety
    Angelina. Its stems and leaves look like a small branch of spruce
    needles and it has yellow flowers.
