Admittedly, it's tempting to "do the wrong thing"...but in the long
run, it's bad for you.

This is a lesson that He has taught me over, and over again...

The context for it was what King David did...committing adultery with Bathsheba, getting her pregnant. So, he had her husband, Uriah, sent off to the hottest part of the battle line, where he'd be killed. David thought that "he had gotten away with it", but God saw it all...and sent the prophet Nathan to "let the cat out of the bag". He told David a story about a pitiless rich man. When David said angrily "That man deserves to die!!", Nathan thundered "YOU ARE THAT MAN!!".

David did repent and confess his sin, but he lost the child that he
got out of wedlock, and his family and life were destroyed...not to mention that his kingdom was taken away from him. What a price to pay
to enjoy "the pleasures of sin for a season".

Again, I feel the need to read The Good Book again. Your paraphrase really drills directly to the point of that lesson...

I can only hope that He continues to forgive me.

Admittedly, we don't like to hear about stuff like this, as it hurts
our pride. But, pride was the first sin in the universe...

Give The Glory to The Lord...He gave it to me.

This is a lesson that He has taught me over, and over again...

It's like the T-shirt that noted "Lead me not into temptation -- I'll
find my own way". <G>

Again, I feel the need to read The Good Book again. Your paraphrase
really drills directly to the point of that lesson...

I need to do likewise...but I will say that He has given me a Gospel
Poetry Collection as a ministry to the saved and a witness to the lost.
There are some secular ones on my hobbies...such as the BBS, amateur radio, and square dancing...but most are "sacred". You can find all of these at http://www.wx4qz.net/swj.htm -- over 550 poems are in there.

I can only hope that He continues to forgive me.

As the Scripture notes, "The blood of Jesus cleanses from all sin", but
that is ONLY for those who have done "the one thing God requires"...to believe on The One He Has sent (John 6:29, Acts 16:31, plus John 14:6,
and Acts 4:12 -- the latter two are the most hated verses by the world.
If only one sin was not paid for, Christ would still be in the grave, and
all of us would be on our way to Hell and The Lake Of Fire with Satan and
his demonic hordes (who hate our guts anyway, and want all of us to burn
with them). Yet, one must make that decision for Christ BEFORE they take their last breath...tomorrow, let alone the next 5 seconds, is promised
to no one.

My late wife's favorite hymn was "Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus" --

Many churches today won't sing or preach about The Cross, sin, repentance, The Blood Of Jesus, etc, as it's "too offensive and graphic". All they want is "prosperity gospel" (name it, claim it), feel good, messages that "tickle ones ears". God's Grace is a License to Serve, and NOT a License to Sin.
They are afraid if they "preach the whole counsel of God" (what He called
an abomination then, is still such today), will drive folks away, and the offering plates will dry up.

It's like Josh McDowell, who penned "More Than A Carpenter", plus
"Evidence That Demands A Verdict". He set out to refute Christianity as a farce, but when he was unable to do so, he got saved. He noted that before
he was saved "the most I got out of church was the 25 cents I put in the offering plate, and the 35 cents that I took out for a milk shake". And sadly, that's about all most people get out of church.

Aye, you're quite right! And why I chose to excise my soul, rather than
marry a too-proud woman! And yet, that wound has never healed...

The first woman I was engaged to always wanted me to take her to the most expensive restaurant, always pick up the tab, and to forsake everything else in my life (hobbies, etc.) outside of work, and spend every waking moment with her. In other words, she was going to do all the taking, and I was to
do all the giving. That does NOT work in a relationship. I broke off the engagement and relationship just before Christmas, 1985...and she accused
me of "using her".

With my late wife, she didn't care whether we ate at McDonald's or The
Olive Garden -- to her, "food is food". We were friends for 17 1/2 years,
and never thought about marriage...let alone to each other. We hit it off
in 2002, got married in 2003, and she died of a heart attack 3 weeks prior
to our 4th anniversary in 2007. She had a defective aortic heart valve
since birth...she was only 48 when she died. I didn't marry until I was
43, but never dreamed I'd be a widower at 47. I never remarried, as at
this stage of life, most folks have too much "baggage" (they or their
kids are in trouble with the law, they can't manage money, the kids
treat the parents like crap, etc.) -- I didn't want or need that "drama"
in my life. Because of medical issues, my wife and I never had kids...
and the way the world is today, I'm glad I never had any.

I enjoy listening to the end of times podcasts and stuff about the end of the age.. It certainly is!

The thing is, if you've done the one thing God requires...to believe on
The One He Has Sent, repented (changed your mind about sin), and asked
Christ to save you (and you're not just "going through the motions"), He
sees you as righteous as He is.

We STILL have the sin nature, even after we're saved. As Christian singer
Amy Grant-Gill (she's married to Vince Gill now...and I understand she has
a heart condition), noted years ago..."we still wake up in the morning with body odor, bad breath, and the call of nature".

Now, God's Grace is a "License To Serve", and NOT a "License To Sin".
All Christians have at least one area where they are particularly vulnerable. Satan is known as "The Accuser Of The Brethren", basically "the prosecuting attorney" to show why "these phony Christians belong in Hell". There are a
lot going through the motions...but Christianity is not a religion...it's a relationship with Jesus Christ. There are a large number of folks "playing church", but they've never asked Christ to save them. You can fool the preacher and everyone else, but The Lord sees and knows everything you're doing.

Hal Lindsey, author of "The Late Great Planet Earth", "Satan Is Alive
And Well On Planet Earth", and "There's A New World Coming", noted in
one of his books, that in The Supreme Court Of The Universe, Satan
comes in with huge dossiers on everyone...especially the Christians.

I will use myself as the "defendant here". For the Christian, Jesus
is "The Believers Defense Attorney". When Satan comes to testify
against me (and I'm a sinner, but a sinner saved by the Grace of God),
Jesus says to God The Father "Daryl believed on me in 1978. The
forgiveness I purchased for him was applied to him at that time. This
is our only plea". And, God The Father bangs the gavel down, and says
"Case Dismissed".

I'll also note two songs:

1) What Sins Are You Talking About?? I Don't Remember Them Anymore.
2) What Can Wash Away My Sin?? Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus.

Sadly, many churches won't preach on The Blood Of Jesus, The Old
Rugged Cross, Sin, and Repentance, because they're afraid it'll
offend their congregations. So, they just preach a "feel good,
prosperity gospel message", with no mention of the topics I just
noted. They're afraid the offering plates will dry up if they do.

These are the ones who instead of being at The Bema Judgment Seat
Of Christ, will be at The Judgment Of The Great White Throne...and
pleading "Lord!! We prophesied, cast out demons, and did many
wonderful works in Your Name". And, The Lord will say to them "Who
Are You?? I Never Knew You At Any Time. Depart from Me, you workers
of evil".

The Apostle Paul even noted "the things I know I should be doing,
and want to do...and the things I know I shouldn't be doing, I do.
Oh, wretched man that I am!! Who shall save me from the body of this
death??".

Now, continuous unbroken tolerance of sins left and right, should
lead a person to question whether they have actually been born again, spiritually. All of us have at least one skelton in our closets (some
have more), and God already knows all about them. But the Blood Of
Jesus washed our sins away, into the sea of forgetfulness...and as
the late missionary Corrie Ten Boom noted, "NO FISHING!!". Even one
sin NOT paid for would mean that Christ had not risen from the dead";
and as the Apostle Paul noted "we would be the most miserable of all creatures". The Resurrection is God's Seal Of Approval on the Work
that Christ did on The Cross.

Now, if a Christian continues in sin, the Holy Sprit will convict
them, and they will be "spiritually miserable". God will also do like
a loving parent...and discipline His Children.

My church is doing a Bible Study in the book of Job right now, and
his three friends (more like "frenemies" -- they seem like friends,
but they are enemies) basically said "it's the sin you and your family
has done, and you're getting what you deserve". What his friends didn't
see what that God asked Satan twice "Have you considered my servant
Job?? There is none like him on the Earth, that fears God, and shuns
evil". God permitted Satan to take everything Job had, but not to
kill him. In the end, God restored Job, and gave him twice as much
as he had before.

1 John 1:9-10 notes "If we confess our sin, He is faithful and just
to forgive us our sin, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we
say we have no sin, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us".

Romans 3:23 notes "For all have sinned, and fallen short of God's
Glory", and Romans 3:10 notes "There is none righteous, not one".
But, Romans 8:1 declares "There is NO CONDEMNATION to those in
Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit".

Until we die, or are raptured, ALL Christians are going to have
to deal with their sin nature daily...there's no getting around it.
But, when we sin (as we will), and we go to God, and humbly confess
it, and ask for His Forgiveness, He will grant it. Besides, when
Jesus died on The Cross, every sin that mankind would ever commit
was paid for. Just before He died, He shouted "Tetelestai!", which
translates to "It Is Finished". Basically, all of mankind's sins
(except the sin of a person rejecting His Free Love Gift) were
paid for.

Now, the carnal Christians may not have many (if any) rewards at
the Bema Judgment Seat Of Christ, but they'll still be in Heaven;
even though they'll have nothing to present to The Lord. But, for
the believer, the issue of sin, having been settled at The Cross,
will NOT even be considered at the Judgment Seat Of Christ. This
judgment, after the rapture of the church, ONLY examines the WORKS
of the believers...and NOT the believers themselves. If it did,
Heaven would be empty.

I even saw a commentary recently, where this preacher "yelled at God"...
and I confess I've done that. The Scripture says that "God won't give
us more than we can handle"...but after a car wreck and plumbing
incident within 2 months of each other a year ago, I was beginning to
wonder. I was literally in tears for a week, and when my cousin called
on my birthday, I nearly hung up on her. It was the closest I ever got
to considering suicide.

It is OK for a Christian to be depressed...and Satan wants Christians
to feel like there are still "no good worms before God". John 3:18 notes
"He that believes on Jesus is NOT condemned...but he that doesn't believe
on Jesus is condemned ALREADY". The thing is, Jesus lived the life we
could not, and "He who knew no sin at all, became sin for us, so that we
might become the righteousness of God in Him".

Contempoary Christian Music artist Don Francisco, who did the great
song "He's Alive", did one called "No Condemnation". Basically, he's
sitting by his window on a rainy afternoon, thinking of all the sins he
had done the night before...and he feels like "a useless no good worm
before The Lord" Then, Jesus said to him "Satan the accuser has been whispering in your ear. You just tell him 'You're Forgiven', he has
got no business here. Because it doesn't matter what you've done...it
matters what you'll be. There is no condemnation, when The Son has set
you free". When I think of this, it brings tears to my eyes, and I think
of the chorus "How Marvelous! How Wonderful! And my song shall ever be!!
How Marvelous! How Wonderful! Is My Saviour's Love For Me!!".

He has given me many talents, including a Gospel Poetry Collection,
with over 560 poems to His Glory. There are some secular ones on my
hobbies, like the BBS (of course <G>), ham radio, and square dancing,
and some tribute poetry for certain individuals in my life. The entire collection is on the web at http://www.wx4qz.net/swj.htm -- designed
as a Ministry To The Saved, and a Witness To The Lost.

I used to do mini concerts when I sang in choirs years ago, but my
declining health has put an end to that. After one concert, they wanted
to pay me, and I declined...saying they should use that money for the
church. If someone is won to Christ through the poetry, that is more
than enough pay for me. That is treasure I can lay up in Heaven...where
moth and rust don't destroy, and where thieves can't break through and
steal. And, after one concert, they said "We didn't know you were going
to preach to us". I replied "Well, it is right out of The Word Of God.
You can't do any better than that!!".

I can't write poetry...it's truly a gift from God...and I give Him all
the Glory for it.

Now, a person can choose to have The Lord Jesus pay their sin debt...or
they can pay it themselves forever in The Lake Of Fire, where there is no escape. God is a Gentleman, and He will NOT force anyone to accept His Son.
In short, if the believers ON Jesus, and NOT just IN Him are wrong...we
won't lose much when we die. And, one day, we'll KNOW who is right.

Also, I will note a lapel I saw on a church choir director years ago...
it was 2 question marks. I asked him about it, and this was his reply.

"There are two questions I have to ask you. First, if you were to die
within the next 60 seconds, would you know beyond the shadow of a doubt,
that Heaven would be your home?? And, second, if you were standing before Almighty God right now, and He said 'Give me one reason WHY I should let
you into My Heaven', what would you tell Him??".

My answers would be "Yes", and "Because of what Jesus Christ did for me
on The Old Rugged Cross Of Calvary".

To me, if that's not good enough to get me into Heaven, nothing is. It's
the least that I can do in gratitude and service to Him...as I could never repay Him for what He did for me. And, I'm sure other "true believers" would echo what I said. Yet, you can NOT pray someone else into Heaven, or out of Hell. If they don't ask Christ to save them before they die, they're going
to Hell by default. Plus, tomorrow...let alone the next 15 seconds...is promised to no one.

As 1 Corinthians 1:18 notes, "The Preaching Of The Cross is to those who
die in their sins, foolishness. But, to the saved, it's the Power of
Almighty God". In short, it's God's Creation, and His Rules. He made the
Plan Of Salvation so simple, but many will reject it because of its simplicity.

When the Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas "What must I do to be saved??", Paul replied "Believe On The Lord Jesus Christ" (Acts 16:31).
Romans 10:9-10, 13 note "If you will confess with your mouth The Lord
Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead,
you'll be saved. For with the heart, man believes unto righteousness,
and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever
shall call upon The Name Of The Lord shall be saved".

His Grace is a License To SERVE...and NOT a License To Sin.

Why confess your sins to a preacher, priest, etc.?? He is just as much a sinner as you are, according to Romans 3:23 ("For ALL have sinned, and
come short of the Glory of God"), and Romans 3:10 ("As it is written...
there is NONE righteous...not one"). Yet, many believe that certain
religious figures are without sin.

The preacher, priest, etc. could use those sins as blackmail against you...but The Lord would never do that. If you've repented (changed
your mind about sin), and asked Christ to be your Lord and Saviour,
He has cast your sins into "the sea of forgetfulness", and He says
about that location, "where I will remember them no more". The late
Corrie Ten Boom said about that lake, "No Fishing!!".

The Lord's earthly mother, Mary, who raised him, along with her
husband, Joseph (he was Jesus' step-father, as Almighty God was (and
is) His real Father)...said "My soul does magnify The Lord. And, my
spirit has rejoiced in God, My Saviour".

If she was sinless, as many believe (especially the Catholics), *WHY*
did she say her firstborn son was her Saviour?? And, why did she spend
all that money for a sin offering of turtledoves if she was sinless??

Then, the Catholics and others believe you have to "do good works" for
your salvation. Isaiah 64:6 says "Your righteousness is as filthy rags" (literally, bloody menstrual cloths), and Ephesians 2:8-9 says "For by
Grace are you saved through faith. This is not of yourselves...it is
The Gift of God...not of works, lest anyone should boast".

When I've asked Catholics these questions, they have no answer for them.

Some believe that the Catholic Church is "the great whore of the book
of Revelation"...but that won't be known until after the Rapture. Yet,
much of what the Pope is doing goes against Biblical principles...such
as saying "gays and athiests will be in Heaven". I see nothing of that
in The Bible. What God said as an abomination millenia ago, is still
the same. If He did change, all of us would've been consumed by His
Righteous Fire...and if He gave us what we deserved, we would've been
stamped out of existence long ago.

Satan has many duped by the lie that "there are many ways to Heaven"...
yet these 2 verses contradict that:

1) John 14:6 -- "I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life. No one comes to
The Father, but through Me". -- Jesus Christ

2) Acts 4:12 -- "Neither is there salvation in any other. For there is
no other name under Heaven, given among mankind, whereby we must be
saved". -- The Apostle Peter after Pentecost

Those are the 2 most hated verses in the Bible, by the majority of
mankind. Those that want nothing of God, Jesus, or Biblical Christianity
in their Earthly Life, will also be given that during eternity...and it
will be a decision that they regret forever.

The plan of salvation is so simple...yet many reject it because of
its simplicity. When the Philppian jailer asked the Apostles Paul and

Jesus Christ" (Acts 16:31).

Simply put, it's God's Creation, and it's His Rules.

thing God requires (believing on The One He has sent, in the Person of
His Son, Jesus Christ), we still wake up in the morning with that sin nature...not to mention body odor, bad breath, and the call of nature

failure).

There is a thing as "righteous anger". It's God's Creation and His
Rules. The world says "we're intolerant", because we won't engage in
their "lifestyles". 1 Corinthians 1:18 notes "The preaching of The Cross
is to them who die in their sins, foolishness and stupidity. But, to the
saved, it's the Power of Almighty God". There are many that proclaim "We
will not have Christ reign over us". Well, God, being a Gentleman, sooner
more than later, will give them what they wanted. Truly, the days of Noah
and Lot are here...and God isn't going to wait forever for mankind to
repent (the worldwide flood of Noah, and the firebombing of Sodom and
Gomorrah are evidence of that).

For the believers on Christ (not just "going through the motions"),
His Grace is "A license to serve, NOT a license to sin". Plus, these
3 verses offer comfort:

1) John 3:18 - He that believes on Jesus is not condemned. But, he
who does not is condemned already.

2) Romans 8:1 - There is no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus,
who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit.

3) Acts 16:31 - Believe on The Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be
saved.

4) Romans 10:9-10, 13 - If you will confess with your mouth The Lord
Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead,
you shall be saved. For with the heart, man believes unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall
call upon The Name of The Lord shall be saved.

5) 1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

For those who've accepted Christ as Lord and Savior, all of our sins
are in "the sea of forgetfulness"..."as far as the east is from the
west".

Again, the believers still have the sin nature, and we'll sin until
we die, or are raptured. But, at the Bema Seat Judgment in Heaven, which
will occur after the rapture of the church...the issue of sin, having
been settled at The Cross, won't even be considered. Rewards will be
gained or lost, but they'll still be in Heaven.

Satan is "the god of this world", and the majority of mankind want
nothing to do with Biblical Christianity. All you have to do is try
to bring that up in some of the "religion" echoes, and it becomes an
instant flame war. Christianity is not a religion...it's a relationship
with Jesus Christ. Many folks say that because of "so many Christian hypocrites...if that's Christianity, I want no part of it". Every
person will stand before The Lord one day...either as their Savior,
or as their Judge. I tell people "Don't worry about my sins on Judgment Day...you won't be asked about them".

For those who refuse to accept Christ in this life, they will answer
for every sin in thought, word, and deed, that they ever did. Instead
of being their "Friend For Life" for eternity...to these, Jesus Christ
will be "Their Worst Nightmare".

Once you witness the Gospel to someone (planting the seed), that
person's blood is off your hands. If they don't want to repent of
their sin and accept Christ, that's their problem, not yours. Only
God can break the stone cold heart of someone. Jesus Himself said
in the instance where your "witness" is spurned, shake the dust off
your feet, and move on. If you try to "cram the Bible down their throat", you'll drive them further away.

WWJD: What Would Jesus Do? This isn't a joke, it's an honest question. With so many people belittling and deriding Him, how did He cope? How

He didn't have the sin nature as we do. Otherwise, He could not have
been the perfect sacrifice to take away our sin. Hebrews 9:22 notes
"Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission for sin". Most
churches won't talk about The Cross, The Blood Of Jesus, etc., as they
view Christianity as "a slaughterhouse religion".

Millenia ago, God declared that "The Life Is In The Blood". Without
blood in your body, you'll physically die. So, those like myself on a
blood thinner (Eliquis, for congestive heart failure and atrial
fibrillation) have to be very careful with injuries.

The Bible notes that "He who knew no sin at all, became sin for us,
so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him". Grace has
been defined as G)od's R)iches A)t C)hrist's E)xpense. It doesn't seem
like an even exchange...He got our sin, and we got His Righteousness.
When Jesus cried out from The Cross "My God!! My God!! Why have You
forsaken Me??", it was because Christ became the embodiment of sin
for ALL of mankind...as He had no sin of His own. But, God can NOT
look at, or abide in the presence of sin...so, He had to turn His
Back on His Son. Yet, the Resurrection was God's Seal Of Approval on
the work Christ did on The Cross.

During the final week of Jesus' earthly life, many things occurred.

Nowadays, churches and people would rather have a "prosperity,
'name it, claim it' gospel", with NOT A WORD on righteous living,
sin, repentance, or judgment. These will be the ones that on
Judgment Day, The Lord tells them "I never knew you...you are
not welcome in my Heaven".

I am trying, I swear it. But I will never be free from sin. And I am terrified because of this!

If you have done the one thing that God requires (believe on The One He
has sent), you have nothing to worry about. Basically, you've admitted to
God that:

1) You are a sinner bound for Hell.

2) There's nothing you can do on your own to save your soul (that all of
your good deeds/righteousness is as filthy rags (literally, bloody
menstrual cloths) before God).

3) Believe on Jesus Christ, by faith, that He took your place on the Cross
of Calvary, bearing all your sins from birth to death, shedding His Blood,
and dying, to wash away your sin.

4) Believe by faith that God raised Christ from the dead on the third day, according to the Scriptures. The resurrection is God's Seal of Approval
on what Christ did...because if even ONE sin was NOT paid for, Jesus
would still be in the grave, and ALL of us would be headed for Hell.
The one sin God will NOT forgive is to reject Jesus Christ while here
on Earth.

5) Repent (change your mind) about sin...although you will still have
the sin nature and the propensity to sin until you die, or are raptured.

6) Ask Jesus to forgive your sin, to come into your heart, and be your
Lord and Savior.

As Romans 10:9-10, 13 note, "If you confess with your mouth The Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will
be saved. For with the heart, man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made to salvation. For whoever calls upon The Name of
The Lord shall be saved".

Anyone...no matter their background, race, finances, gender (male or
female, as those were the only ones God created)...who come to God in humility, as noted above, He will NOT turn them away.

At the moment you ask Christ to save you, EVERY sin that you've ever done
in your life, or will do, has been washed away by The Blood Of Jesus. They
are in "the sea of forgetfulness", where God doesn't remember them (there
is NO FISHING in that sea, either)...and they are cast away as far as the
east is from the west. Romans 8:1 notes "There is NO CONDEMNATION to those
who are in Christ Jesus". When God looks upon the heart of those who've accepted His Son as Lord and Savior, He sees us as righteous as Jesus is,
as if we had NEVER sinned. There is a song entitled "What sins are you
talking about?? I don't remember them anymore"...words from The Lord
Himself.

Now, we still wake up in the morning with that sin nature, as well as
body odor, bad breath, the call of nature, etc. -- and we will still have
all of those until we die, or are raptured.

1 John 1:9 notes "If we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to
forgive us our sin, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". You only
need to confess it to The Lord, even He knows about it already. It just
shows Him that you are aware that you did wrong, and you confess, repent (agree with God that this behavior is wrong), and ask His Forgiveness...
and it's done. Don't confess it before a preacher or a priest...they're
as much a sinner as you are...and sadly, some will use this as bribery
against you.

Now, God's Grace is a LICENSE TO SERVE, and NOT a LICENSE TO SIN. And,
those who continue unabated in sin, without feeling guilty (conviction from the Holy Spirit) should question whether they truly were reborn spiritually.
If you've asked Christ to save you, He will make a change in your life, and
you will want to please Him.

But, as noted, ALL of us are going to still have that sin nature, even
after we are saved. Every Christian has at least one area where they are particularly vulnerable...whether it's an addiction...not spending time
in His Word...attitude toward others, etc. And, everyone has at least one skelton in their closet...while some have a whole graveyard of bones!!

So many people have the fear that "God is waiting to strike me dead for
some sin(s) I've done". While He will discipline His Children (as any good father would), He does NOT punish us. While discipline seems as if it's the same as punishment (think of when you got spanked on your naked buttocks
while you were growing up), it's actually different. Now, you may have done some sin in your life that will cause consequences (drug addiction, etc.),
but once you've done the one thing that God requires (as noted above), ALL your sins (past, present, and future) have been forgiven...end of story.

Again, if you are in Christ, the issue of sin, having been settled at The Cross, will NOT even be considered at the Bema Judgment Seat Of Christ,
which will immediately follow the Rapture Of The Church (that event is
closer by the second). While rewards will be gained and lost there, every
one there will still be in Heaven.

The ones who won't be there will be those who died without accepting
Christ as Lord and Savior...or for those who didn't do such before the
Rapture. If they don't accept Christ before they die...or if they take
The Mark Of The Beast during the Tribulation (which will literally be
seven years of Hell on Earth)...they will go to Hell when they die...
and be at The Great White Throne Judgment, where they will answer for
every sin they ever did in thought, word, or deed.

Lastly, everyone...eagerly in this life and in Heaven...or compelled
to on Judgment Day...will bow before The Lord Jesus Christ. For those who
do it eagerly, Jesus will be their Best Friend. For those who end up
being compelled, Jesus will be their Worst Nightmare.

Two of my favorite sayings are:

1) Please be patient. God isn't finished with me yet.
2) Don't worry about my sins on Judgment Day. You won't be asked about
them.

For that matter, since I accepted Christ on March 28, 1978, He's not
going to ask me about them when I stand before Him...because "The Blood
Of Jesus cleanses from ALL sin".

Sadly, most of the world doesn't feel that way. But, if The Lord did
change, all of us would've been consumed in His Righteous Fire long ago.

Tragically, the Laodicean Church is alive and well...many of these
will NOT preach on "the whole counsel of God", including issues of sin, repentance, and judgment...never mind The Cross and The Blood Of Jesus;
as they say "Christianity is a slaughterhouse religion". Hebrews 9:22
notes "Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission for sin".

These churches would rather preach a "prosperity gospel" (name it,
claim it!!)...and only have feel good sermons. Otherwise, the offering
plates will dry up. They also feel that what God called abominations
back then, are no longer such (the days of Noah and Lot are here).

Sadly, these will be the ones left behind at the Rapture, and ones
where The Lord will tell them on Judgment Day "I never knew you.
Depart from me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire, prepared for
the devil and his angels".

As Christians, brothers and sisters in Christ (can't leave out the ladies <G>), we are to uplift and edify each other. Even after we're saved (doing
the one thing God requires, believing on The One He has sent, in the person
of His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ), we are still going to have to deal with our sin nature until we die, or are raptured. As Gospel artist Amy Grant
noted years ago, "we still wake up with body odor and bad breath"...and you might as well note "the call of nature" as well. And, with my being on Lasix for congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation, I know that well. <G>
I am supposed to have cardiac ablation surgery soon, which should resolve
both of those issues.

Anyway, if one was truly sincere and contrite when we made the decision
for Christ, ALL of one's sins...past, present, and future, were FORGIVEN.
While Satan keeps trying to dredge those up against us, as far as God is concerned, He sees those who've accepted Christ as righteous as He is. As Romans 8:1 notes "there is NO CONDEMNATION to those in Christ Jesus"...and John 3:18 notes "He that believes on Christ is NOT CONDEMNED". While His
Grace is a License To Serve, and NOT a License To Sin...as noted, we're
still going to have that sin nature. Every Christian has one area where they're particularly vulnerable...and all of us have one skeleton in our closet (some have a whole graveyard full!!).

The Devil (Satan) is a created being with LIMITED power, but Jesus
Christ is God Almighty with UNLIMITED power. The one thing Satan and
his demonic hordes can't cross is The Blood Line...the Precious Blood
that Jesus Christ shed for all mankind on that old rugged cross nearly
2000 years ago. Since I'm entering this just before Easter Weekend,
the following commentary may help.

While Christ was hanging on The Cross to pay for the sins of mankind,
the sign up above his head here in the physical realm on Earth, noted
His "crime" (according to the Pharisees, Saducees, and the Romans), as
"Jesus Of Nazareth, King Of The Jews"...but that was in Truth.

The Jewish leaders didn't like or want Jesus, because He exposed their hypocrisy and other things...and they didn't want Him "muscling in on
their operation". And, the Romans felt that Caesar was their king.
Indeed, when Pontious Pilate said "Behold, Your King!", the crowd
shouted "We have no king but Caesar"...likely prodded by both the
Pharisees and Saducees. Pilate acquitted Jesus 4 times, but 18 Jewish
laws were broken (through numerous illegal trials) to railroad Jesus
to His Death...even though He had come to Earth to die for the sins
of mankind.

Meanwhile, in the spiritual realm, the "crimes" that were noted were
NONE of Jesus' (He who knew no sin, became sin for us, that we might
become the righteousness of God in Him)...but the sins that everyone
who ever lived on Earth, would commit, in thought, word, or deed. It
was because of Him becoming the embodiment of sin, that God The Father
could NOT look upon His Son...so, He turned away, taking the sunlight
from the Earth as He did. Christ was on the Cross for only 6 hours,
but crucifixion (originally devised by the Phonecians, then refined
by the Romans) was originally meant to have the condemned criminals
nude on the cross for several days. That made them even more vulnerable
to the birds and insects...besides the pain, scorn, and humiliation.

However, the scourging before the crucifixion was so brutal, that
most died from the beatings. Crucifixion itself is essentially a
death by suffocation, and likely the most excruciating death one
could endure. Exhaustion, shock, paralysis, and suffocation finally
destroy the victim.

Satan thought he had all mankind in his clutches, but when Jesus
uttered "Tetelestai!" ("it is finished!"), Satan realized too late
that "the joke was on him" (he'd been hoodwinked). Those words meant
that the work Jesus came to do...to shed His Blood and die for the
sins of everyone...was completed. And, that anyone would put their
faith in Christ alone for their salvation, could go to Heaven. The
resurrection of Christ on what we know as "Easter" (but it's named
after the fertility goddess, Ishtar), was God's Seal Of Approval
on what Christ did on the Cross.

Had one sin not been paid for, Christ would still be in the grave,
His Death would be like any other man, and all of us would be heading
for Hell and the Lake Of Fire, with Satan and his demons (who hate
our guts, and want us to burn with them).

The one sin God won't forgive is "blasphemy against The Holy Spirit"... basically rejecting God's Free Love Gift in the person of His Son. By
that free will and choice, they choose to go to Hell...God doesn't send
anyone there. The Lord's Will is that NO ONE die in their sin (rejecting Christ), but that all should come to repentance.

When someone accepts Christ, it's a slap in Satan's face. By the
same token, all who choose to reject The Lord (there will tragically
be far more in this category), it's a slap in God's Face (Jesus
Christ is God In The Flesh).

Back to the crucifixion, the thief being crucified on Jesus' right originally mocked him, as the thief being crucified on Jesus' left did.
Yet, while the thief on the left kept railing on Jesus, the thief on
the right had a change of heart, seeing Jesus who He really was. The
thief on the right told the other one "We're getting what we deserve...
but this man is innocent!!". Then, he said to Jesus "Lord, remember me,
when you come into your Kingdom". The Lord told him "Truly, I say to
you; today, you'll be with me in Paradise". A condemned criminal was
the first one saved. If there was such a thing as a spiritual lottery,
the thief on Jesus' right "hit the jackpot".

For those of us who've come to Christ, we know that it should have
been US getting scourged, and then crucified on that Cross, instead
of Christ. As Romans 5:8 notes, "But God commanded His Love for us,
in that while we were yet sinners (His enemies), Christ died for us".
